A Nemzeti Emlékezet Bizottságának (NEB) angol nyelvű Évkönyve 2016-ban látott először napvilágot (Yearbook 2014–2015), amelyet még egy szám követett (Yearbook 2016–2017). Intézményünk szándéka kezdettől az volt az Évkönyvvel, hogy rendszeres fórumot biztosítson a NEB munkatársai és a Kelet-Közép Európában működő hasonló profilú társintézmények kollégái számára friss tudományos eredményeik közreadására. 2025-ben Open Access kiadványként újraindul az Évkönyv olyan módon, hogy páratlan évben angol, páros évben pedig magyar nyelven jelenik meg. Célja a NEB törvényben megjelölt múltfeltárási és emlékezetőrzési feladatainak megfelelően kutatási eredményeink és ismeretterjesztési projektjeink minél szélesebb körben történő megismertetése. Ennek érdekében az Évkönyv nyomtatott számainak megjelenésével egyidőben az intézmény honlapján is elérhetővé tesszük az összes tanulmányt. Napjaink tudományos publikációs elvárásaihoz illeszkedve a közlemények DOI azonosítót kapnak, így hosszú távon is könnyen visszakereshetőek az interneten.

The English-language Yearbook of the Committee of National Remembrance (NEB) was first published in 2016 (Yearbook 2014–2015), which was followed by one further issue (Yearbook 2016–2017). From the outset, the intention of our institution with the Yearbook was to provide a regular forum for the staff of the NEB and for colleagues from partner institutions with a similar profile operating in East-Central Europe to publish their latest scientific findings. In 2025, the Yearbook will be relaunched as an Open Access publication, appearing in English in odd-numbered years and in Hungarian in even-numbered years. In accordance with the NEB's statutory duties of historical exploration and the preservation of memory, its aim is the dissemination of our research findings and public outreach projects to the widest possible audience. To this end, concurrently with the appearance of the print issues of the Yearbook, we will also make all studies available on the institution's website. In line with contemporary expectations for academic publishing, the articles will be assigned a DOI identifier, ensuring they remain easily searchable on the internet in the long term.
