The Committee of National Remembrance (CNR) represented by Réka Földváryné Kiss and the Polish Institute of National Remembrance represented by Łukasz Kamiński signed a cooperation agreement in Budapest. The signing ceremony took place in House of the National Assembly in the presence of vice chair of parliament Dr. Gergely Gulyás. CNR and its Polish partner have agreed to develop mutual cooperation in the field of historical research and scientific education. CNR and IPN are planning to co-organize scientific and educational events aimed at better understanding of the historical and cultural heritage of the Parties and granted each other priority regarding publication of their materials protected by intellectual property law. After the signing ceremony in the House of the National Assembly the CNR and IPN held a scintific discussion about eliminating the heritage of communist dictatorship by legal means. In the National University of Public Service - after the introduction speech by rector Prof Dr. Andras Patyi - Łukasz Kamiński gave a lecture on „Remembrance of the XX. century dictatorships in Poland” in the afternoon. Réka Földváryné Kiss presented the main results of the first year of CNR and outlined the possibilities provided by the cooperation. The representatives of the two institutions emphasized that the agreement - beside drawing the outlines of their cooperation - is also an expression of the Polish-Hungarian friendship. Images
